10th Anniversary
At Transcendit, we are proud of how we have grown from the company started by 5 nervous IT Consultants on 1st September, 2000 to the successful business we have today. So to celebrate 10 years of success, we hired the Riverside Suite at the Baltic and invited the staff, shareholders, customers and suppliers who have made us successful for an evening of food, drink and fun. The venue did us proud with attentive staff, sparkling wine on entry and an excellent barbecue on the riverside terrace. I'm not sure if they arranged for the Millennium Bridge to open and close especially for us, but it made for a spectacular backdrop.
As well as the food and drink, there was a Wii and a Batak machine to keep us amused. There was quite a competition to come out on top, but in the end the prizes were dominated by the youngsters! The less competitive enjoyed the music and dancing provided by the DW Band who did two excellent sessions, whilst many simply took advantage of the nice weather to enjoy the views across to Newcastle and along the River Tyne from the terrace.
To make the night even more special, we held a raffle and a silent aucton for the Children's Heart Unit Fun (CHUF). In total we raised £2,352 (plus a bit more in the sealed collecting tins that we couldn't count). There were some excellent prizes including a week in a Spanish villa, a weekend in Budapest and vouchers for Photographers studios, jewellery, meals, beauty treatments and a Red Letter Day. We'd like to say a big thank you to everybody who bought tickets or bid in the silent auction, but particular thanks go to those who donated prizes:
