Get to grips with AI with this free training

Digital Pathfinders is offering a series of free workshops for organisations who are wanting to learn more about, or improve their skills with AI. This training, which is taking place online and in person in the North East, will support businesses in identifying how AI services can improve their organisation.

The following workshops are free, funded by the North East Combined Authority, and are exclusively for SMEs, charities and social enterprises who operate from, or trade within County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Northumberland, South Tyneside, or Sunderland.

Wednesday 14th October, 9:30 - 12:30 in Morpeth (venue to be confirmed)

This workshop is a broad introduction to AI in business, and will look at a wide range of tasks and services that AI can do for you, or support you with. This will include building websites, digital assistants, presentations and branding and creating mockups. You don’t need to have any experience in AI, and these tools are intended to help you hit the ground running.

Attendees will learn about how to use different AI tools, such as Replit, Google Stitch, Claude Design, Cursor, Crew AI, ChatGPT and NotebookLM, and how these tools can support the work that they are doing. The workshop is suitable for anyone who is considering how to implement AI in their business; and you don’t need to know how to code.

Tuesday 20th October, 12:30 - 3:30 online

This event will centre around how to ensure that your business appears in results from search engines, like Google. As the way that search results are now generated and viewed by users has changed, with a significant proportion of results now being AI generated, this workshop will help those struggling to navigate SEO to prepare their website effectively, so that businesses can adapt.

Attendees will learn about Web Standards, SEO and Agentic Search, as well as accessibility for users. This workshop is suitable for anyone who runs or manages a website, and wants to improve their ranking in search results. You don’t need to know how to code, or know anything about AI.

Wednesday 28th October, 9:30 - 12:30 at Northern Design Centre in Gateshead

This event focuses on the ways in which AI can both benefit, and negatively impact your business. Providing a balanced view of this new technology, this workshop will support organisations in finding safe and sustainable ways that AI can be used and implemented, whilst ensuring that personally identifiable data and intellectual property is suitably protected.

Attendees will learn about the ways in which AI can help their business, the financial side of implementing AI, and the circumstances in which AI should not be used. This workshop is suitable for small businesses and charities, and there is no requirement to know anything about AI before attending.

To register for these events, you’ll need to join the Digital Pathfinders programme, which will also allow you access to future workshops and 1:1 support for your business

The Transcendit Way

Transcendit understand that when you choose to work with us, whether we're taking care of your IT, app or web development, you're trusting us with part of your business. So whether we're looking after your computers, phone systems or servers we always do things 'the Transcendit way'.

The whole of our team adhere to the same values, beliefs and policies - the principles that were written when Transcendit first formed in 2000. Whether you come to us for cloud services or recovery backup you can be confident that you'll always receive the same excellent service.

The Transcendit way outlines how we do business; following the same straightforward principles with every client and customer, regardless of how big or small they may be.

That means we get to know you and your business. We offer you a friendly, professional and efficient service, and we'll always be honest with you.
We understand that not everybody speaks fluent IT, so we try to explain things in a way that is simple and clear. We always spend as much time as is necessary explaining things to you.
If you need to talk to us about something, no matter how insignificant, we are only ever a phone call away – and we’re never too busy to make you a cup of tea and have a sit down with you in person.
We understand how frustrating it can be when things are late. When we schedule an appointment with you, we are there when you’re expecting us. If something prevents us from getting there, we always call you in advance to let you know.
Sometimes things can go wrong, but we never lie to you or try to cover something up. If things go askew we tell you what’s happened and how we plan to prevent it affecting your business.
We want you to continuously benefit from working with us. We regularly discuss your business and make suggestions for improving systems and processes wherever we can – but we never try to push you into a purchase.
When we quote a fixed price, that's always the amount we charge – you won’t find any nasty surprises on a bill from us. If you are paying by time and materials, we inform you if our approximations could change.
We understand the importance of privacy for your business and your customers. We respect the confidentiality of your data, and we will never pass on your information to third parties.
We appreciate it when you take the time to give us feedback. A system called CustomerSure records our client's responses, so you can trust that our reviews are from real people.
